\"\"<\/a>Teleperformance, a provider of outsourced omnichannel customer management services, opened its Ayala Recruitment Center at the company\u2019s business site in Ayala Avenue, Makati City to facilitate more employment opportunities for career-seekers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Formerly a site owned by People\u2019s Support, the Ayala Avenue-based facility was acquired by Teleperformance in 2014. It is one of the company\u2019s biggest sites in the Philippines, employing roughly 5,000 personnel providing customer services to various clients.<\/p>\n

The recruitment center boasts of a lounge with an Internet hub, a coffee station, and shelves with reading materials where applicants can feel relaxed while waiting to be interviewed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our prospective employees to feel the warm and friendly work environment that Teleperformance is known for, and this begins in the job application process,\u201d says Travis Coates, managing director at Teleperformance Philippines.<\/p>\n

Coates declined to disclose the exact amount of investment they infused in the site but said, \u201cit\u2019s in millions of dollars.\u201d He also said they will continue to invest in refurbishment and upgrading of their facility as well as upskilling their talent to meet the growing needs of their clients.<\/p>\n

Coates said the facility can help them drive additional candidates and better quality candidates in terms of skills set to support their existing operations. \u201cRight now, the 5,000 jobs are not completely filled up but we\u2019re still continuing to grow a little bit more in terms of the size of the site,\u201d according to Coates.<\/p>\n

Although Teleperformance supports all industries, its Ayala Avenue-based facility provides services only to some of its biggest industry-clients which include telecommunications, travel and hospitality, and banking and finance sectors.<\/p>\n

Teleperformance continues to grow its domestic footprint, primarily offering offshore services which constitute around 15% to 20% of its business in the Philippines.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pretty big chunk of our business today. As we continue to grow, we continue to meet with companies to help them transform their business and look up for ways to take on some transformational aspects in a way that support our customers,\u201d says Coates.<\/p>\n

Regarding talent development, Coates claimed Teleperformance has a number of partnerships not just in universities and colleges but in senior high schools as well to make sure they are able to tap this market as they become available in the market place. He considers senior high school students as a big piece of their labor pool.<\/p>\n

Coates also shared their formula of success which is being people-focus and people-centric. \u201cWe have 223,000 employees around the world and 40,000 of these are sitting in the Philippines. It\u2019s the single largest population in the Teleperformance employees worldwide which obviously necessitates the need for us to be very people-focus. We do everything we can to support our employees to make sure they are part of our family,\u201d Coates said.<\/p>\n

Regarding company performance, Coates said he is very bullish about their ability to grow within the market.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot of BPO companies and 1.3-million people are directly employed in the industry today. This number is expected to grow significantly over the next three years as IT-BPAP noted in their roadmap 2022. We\u2019re tied to that and expecting that there will be significant growth as we move forward with the opening of more sites this year,\u201d Coates said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
