Discovery Primea, one of Manila\u2019s premier business hotels, has announced its deployment of technology from Ruckus Wireless, Inc., to enhance the guest experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Located in the Makati central business district, Discovery Primea is a deluxe hotel for business and leisure travelers on a quick sojourn or an extended stay in the city. With today\u2019s ultra-mobile business customers carrying an average of four connected devices and consuming a plethora of connected apps, rich media, voice and video, Discovery Primea was in search of a solution that provided its guests a rich Wi-Fi experience. In addition, the hotel wanted a reliable wireless solution that enabled new guest services such as mobile check-in.<\/p>\n

The hotel selected the Ruckus suite of Smart Wi-Fi solutions for hospitality to provide users fast, secure, and reliable Wi-Fi across the hotel. Featuring Ruckus BeamFlex\u2122<\/a> technology that uses patented adaptive antenna and traffic engineering technologies, the solution is purposely built for hospitality customers, helping prioritize and optimize latency-sensitive traffic to deliver a great guest experience.<\/p>\n

Working with partner MEC Networks, the hotel\u2019s IT team conducted proof of concept tests with a number of providers to gauge Wi-Fi solution performance. Ruckus stood out with its Smarter Wi-Fi solution providing strong and stable signal measurement and full coverage span without dead corners.<\/p>\n

\u201cReliable, secure Wi-Fi is critical to our operations,\u201d said Jojo Bisuna, Corporate IT consultant for Discovery Primea. \u201cWe run many guest and staff-facing applications off our Wi-Fi network, including digital signage, mobile check-in, food and drink ordering, and corporate management systems. Even our door-lock system is powered by Wi-Fi.\u201d<\/p>\n
