For a typical household consuming 200 kWh, this translates to a reduction of around PhP82 in their electricity bill.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Meralco.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22500\" src=\"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Meralco.jpg\" alt=\"Meralco\" width=\"622\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Meralco.jpg 622w, http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Meralco-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meralco public information office head Joe Zaldarriaga (in photo) said the reduction was due to the downward movement in generation, transmission, taxes, and other charges.<\/p>\n<p>This month\u2019s overall rate is lower by PhP1.54 per kWh compared to May 2015\u2019s PhP9.98 per kWh.
