Valueline has an extensive tract record of providing comprehensive services and we look forward to working with them as we provide clients with the best possible data protection,” explains Kratky.

According to Ciriaco Santos Jr., VSSC’s President, one of the reasons why the tie-up with Safetica Technologies came about is because of the many feedback they got from customers regarding the need for data security. “We introduce this solution because we are looking for a solution that would really address users’ needs. Safetica is here because our direction and innovation for technology is basically consumer-driven. It’s the feedback we get from customers.”

Safetica security software offers a full DLP solution which covers a wide range of security threats that originate from a common source – human factor. Target users of this application are basically all companies – large and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) – that have interest in protecting their data and business.

Described as the accidental or malicious actions by people inside an organization, the human factor is the primary cause of data leaks. Studies done by Ponemon Research calculated that threats from internal sources topped external risks by a 4:1 ratio, with 80% of all threats to data security coming inside a company and only 20% from external sources such as hackers and malware, etc.

“Safetica focuses on the 80% – the insider security threats that traditional firewalls and antivirus solutions ignore. We’ve built Safetica with the human factor in mind and this directly influences how it goes about protecting and monitoring the use of company data,” said Kratky.

Marwan Chanawani, Safetica Technologies’ Business Development Manager, claimed that Safetica is a unique internal security solution that helps companies protect their data and their daily business. “We actually present a completion of the path of threats that our businesses have on our daily operations.”

The company provides a full-pledged corporate level of DLP solution, giving management complete activity reports and enforcing company security policies on user activities. It offers a full set of security tools in a single software package which would otherwise require several security solutions from different vendors.

Safetica protects data via its endpoint client installed on workstation computers, securing data on individual computers and the company network. From this position, Safetica covers all channels through which data can escape such as emails, printers, and memory sticks.

The software’s unique DLP sandbox technology protects data use by all applications, guarding against leaks without requiring system administers to add specific services or protocols for coverage and substantially simplifying the installation process.

The Safetica solution blocks all data leak channels, and shows threats and their source of origin before they can harm the company. It can also keep employee-owned devices in the company under control. No data in a company’s protected zone can sneak out on these devices.

There will be no problem when it comes to deployment in case a user is implementing a traditional or non-Safetica solution. “With Safetica, you don’t have to worry even about those applications (traditional or non-Safetica solutions) because the entire application can able to define the rules on its income and outcome without the necessity of reading particular protocol,” said Chanawani.

The ability of Safetica to monitor and control activities at the endpoint computer level enables companies to detect and avert security threats at an early stage. “By looking at user activities such as unusual data access and collection, Safetica can help identify high-risk cases. In addition, discovering unsecure data handling processes or restricting unproductive Internet use pays benefits in the long run,” said Kratky.

Asked about opportunity derived from its partnership with Safetica, Santos replied, “When we introduced Safetica, we were able to get almost a million dollar worth of opportunities in a span of three months. It takes time to build up a solution but we were able to create a million dollar worth of Safetica opportunity.”

Safetica Technologies is a Czech Republic-based company engaged in protecting enterprises against human factor failures – accidental and malicious actions by company insiders. Its products and support are currently available in more than 50 countries on five continents.

Valueline Systems and Solutions Corporation is a technology solutions provider servicing some of the top corporations in the Philippines. The company began as an IBM reseller of PCs, servers, printers and peripherals back in 2000. Currently, the company offers industry-leading solutions, as well as corporate information and communication technology (ICT) and systems integration services.

“A single human failure can ruin your business,” said Pravel Kratky, Chief Technology Officer of Safetica Technologies during the launch of Safetica 5, the Czech Republic-based firm’s flagship data leak prevention (DLP)/monitoring software.

[16,15,25
286,732,733
post-2159","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-biz-solutions","category-business","category-software","tag-it-security","tag-safetica-technologies","tag-valueline-systems-and-solutions-corporation
["GET
