The G2 also boasts of the industry’s first 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi sound playback for studio-quality audio.

Still on sound, the G2’s audio zoom features lets you zero in on a specific audio source by zooming in on your subject while recording video. Afterwards, you can hear it more clearly during playback.

This unique feature uses three stereo mikes, which amplify sound from the specified angle and deemphasize the surrounding noise, so you can zoom in on the sounds you want to hear, and tune out those you don’t.

Unlike AMOLED displays, which automatically turn down brightness to conserve battery life and over-saturate colors to compensate, IPS technology enables G2 to display bright whites and genuine colors without draining battery life.

Meanwhile, upgrades have been made in the user experience (UX) features already found in previous LG smartphones, such as QuickMemo, QuickTranslator, QuickRemote, Audio Zoom, Dual Camera, and Dual Recording.

For blemish-free images, G2’s camera lens is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass (Mohs relative hardness of 9), the second strongest material after the diamond (Mohs relative hardness of 10).

One feature which wowed attendees at the G2 launch in Solaire is the Shot & Clear feature. This feature captures the background before a moving person or object enters your shot, and blends it with the picture you’ll take seconds later, eliminating any unwanted moving objects.

The LG G2 also incorporates new and practical UX features such as KnockON, which turns the display on or off by tapping twice with a finger; Guest Mode, which protects the owner’s privacy by displaying only pre-selected apps when guests access the phone; and Answer Me, which automatically answers the call after lowering the ringtone when the phone is raised to one’s ear.

Multitasking

With its 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Processor featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset, the G2 can easily run multiple processes at once, delivering up to a 50 percent increase in graphics performance and faster CPU speeds.

The G2’s QSlide feature brings a PC-like experience to your G2, with the ability to view three windows at once on your display. With this feature, you can open two QSlide apps over your main screen, and even adjust their window size and transparency. You can maximize on-screen multitasking for a range of apps, including Videos, Memo, Calendar, Browser, and Calculator.

You can also convert the G2 into a programmable remote with QuickRemote for all your infrared devices—and turn on almost any home entertainment system from one convenient location.

As for the design, the shape of G2 is thinner with round smooth edges.
