Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, announced the appointment of Paul Churchill as vice president, Southeast Asia sales. Churchill will oversee strategic initiatives to support enterprises in the region in optimizing their critical infrastructure amid evolving technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his new position, Churchill will work with the Emerson teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines and the Indochina region (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar), leveraging on best practices to bring Emerson\u2019s best-in-class, comprehensive solutions and services portfolio to customers in the data center, telecom and industrial spaces. Churchill will also work hand-in-hand with the channel business to foster the partner community across the region.<\/p>\n

Churchill\u2019s appointment comes at a time when new technology trends are emerging in the region. For example, IDC estimates that implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Asia, excluding Japan, will grow to 8.6 billion devices by 2020, reaching an annual market of $583 billion. Southeast Asia is poised to drive the rise of IoT in the region, as countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia have started IoT roadmaps and machine-to-machine integration.<\/p>\n

With new technology trends come a new set of challenges for the IT, telco and industrial infrastructure. Enterprises today are looking for infrastructure that is scalable, flexible and efficient, to meet growing demands. Churchill first joined Emerson Network Power in 2004, as the head of service for the Australia market. In 2007, he transferred to Manila to serve as director of the overall Asia Pacific service business, where he established a regional service organization and led the rapid growth of the service business in Asia and India. In 2010, Churchill assumed the position of vice president, service and project management. In 2013, he\u00a0was promoted to vice president of global project management for the global service organization in the US.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gene Hayden, vice president and general manager of sales and marketing for Emerson Network Power in Asia, has been named vice president of global strategic accounts and will relocate to the US. With 25 years of experience in the company, he\u00a0will be responsible for growing the Emerson Network Power business through the management of key accounts around the world.
