Delivering on its commitment to making the Philippines a global strategic center, Hewlett-Packard has inaugurated its new facility in Two Cyberpod Centris in Quezon City, marking the 10th anniversary of the HP Global Delivery hub in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWith 10 years of global services delivery in the Philippines, our new operations in the Two Cyberpod Centris will help clients and partners capitalize on HP\u2019s innovative technology, support and services to drive sustainable business growth and prosperity,\u201d said Bruce Dahlgren, Senior Vice President and General Manager of HP Enterprise Services, Asia Pacific and Japan.<\/p>\n

Hoping to start operating towards the end of the year, the company\u2019s facility expansion will serve as its growth area. \u201cWe have expanded and we\u2019re expanding to this new location so this will serve as our growth area,\u201d said Nathalie Bernardo, Center Director, HP\u2019s ITO Global Delivery Hub Philippines and China. \u201cWe realize the importance of the northern part of Metro Manila as we\u2019re able to tap the talent pool in Quezon City.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Bernardo, the center will act as an alternate site for business continuity purpose. \u201cWe are all in this country and we know how challenging it is in times of financial disaster so it is important for us to have this business continuity alternate site,\u201d she said. The center will also serve as a recovery center for HP.<\/p>\n

When asked if HP has plans of putting delivery centers outside Metro Manila, Bernardo said, \u201cIt\u2019s a possibility but it\u2019s not a firm plan as of today. It\u2019s something we\u2019ll consider in case we need to expand further.\u201d<\/p>\n

The center will house an HP Executive Briefing Center to showcase HP\u2019s innovative solutions and services that will enable clients to gain a better understanding of the company\u2019s technological capabilities and commitment to sustain its goals. The 14-storey building will also have various facilities for HP employees.<\/p>\n

The new facility represents the ongoing investment the company is making to drive strategic growth across Asia. It will provide solutions and services to help global clients optimize their technology infrastructure for business growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a global delivery center so it supports all our customers in all regions. We have three primary regions: Asia Pacific and Japan; Europe, Middle East and Africa; and the Americas (North and South America),\u201d said Dahlgren.<\/p>\n

Complimenting what Dahlgren said, Bernardo claims \u201cWe do service all these regions. Most of our customers, global in nature, are large multinational companies that would have presence across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this enterprise service facility, HP will be hosting or having the support from application services and infrastructure technology outsourcing. Our external support will be moving in this facility,\u201d added Bernardo. \u201cIt is a facility that will host the key service lines that we have under enterprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

HP is also looking forward to supporting the New Style of IT in vibrant, knowledge-driven markets such as the Philippines. \u201cWe see this New Style of IT being actually driven by consumerization of IT,\u201d said Dahlgren. \u201cThis New Style of IT is an opportunity to leverage capabilities like the cloud, big data, analytics, security, capability, and, specifically, mobility. All three, coming together, helps what the impact would be for customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dahlgren has good words for HP Philippines employees saying, \u201cHow impress I am with the HP leadership and employees. They are vibrant, youthful and energetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The local operations of HP began in 1994 and presently utilizing three locations: Makati, Taguig and Quezon City. The HP Global Delivery Center in the Philippines was formally opened in 2003 as one of the six HP global delivery hubs, which enables the delivery of applications, IT outsourcing, and business process outsourcing services to hundreds of clients around the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
