A tablet, a convertible notebook and an all-in-one. HP has launched three new Android-based devices each addressing the varying needs of the consumer market. The new products are HP Slate 7, HP Slatebook 10 x2 and the HP Slate 21 All-In-One.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HP Slate 7<\/p><\/div>\n

Running on the Android 4.1 operating system, the HP Slate 7 is powered by the ARM A9 Dual Core 1.6 GHz, a low-energy, high-performance processor.<\/p>\n

\u201cHP envisioned the HP Slate 7 as a true mobile companion. It is designed to offer solutions for the immediate computing needs of people on the go,\u201d Albert Mateo, Jr., HP Philippines Country General Manager for Printing and Personal Systems group, said. \u201cDefinitely, the Slate 7 has something to offer for everyone \u2013 from apps to games, entertainment to productivity.\u201d<\/p>\n

HP Slate 7 also features a 1GB RAM and an 8 GB eMMC memory with a Micro SD port for expansion up to 32GB. It also comes with a powerful battery that can accommodate up to 5 hours of video playback. For connectivity, the Slate 7 features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.<\/p>\n

For basic imaging and daily photography needs, the Slate 7 has a rear camera, with a 3MP sensor, as well as front-facing shooter VGA video webcam.\u00a0 Coupled with the HP ePrint app, photos or documents can be printed and shared instantly and almost from anywhere.<\/p>\n

The 7-inch, 370-gram HP Slate 7 is also equipped with the Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology so users can listen to music the way the artist intended and watch movies with high performance audio experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a treat, we are also providing Filipino consumers the HP Headset H2300 as a companion accessory for the Slate 7,\u201d Mateo added.<\/p>\n

The Slate 7 comes in red and silver colors and is now available in major retailers nationwide for only Php7,990.<\/p>\n

The HP SlateBook 10 x2 is a tablet that converts into a notebook or vice versa. The SlateBook detaches fairly easily from its base via an advanced magnetic hinge design.<\/p>\n

The convertible notebook also features a dual battery system\u2014one battery in the base (keyboard) and one in the tablet.\u00a0 Together, the SlateBook 10 x2\u2032s tablet and base should yield up to 14 hours of usage, says Kris Seville, market development manager at HP.<\/p>\n

Running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, the SlateBook 10 x2 features an NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processor, enabling users to access the TegraZone app and experience Tegra 4-optimized games.<\/p>\n

The 10.1-inch HD touchscreen display delivers crisp lines, sharp images and precision color while reducing glare. The SlateBook x2 also includes up to 64 GB of storage and DTS Sound+ Solution for accessing and enjoying photos, music and videos. On the keyboard are an HDMI port, USB 2.0 port, an SD slot, and an audio port.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, HP\u2019s exclusive native printing capability allows users to print directly from most applications.<\/p>\n

HP Slatebook 10 x2 will be available in major retail stores nationwide starting August for only Php25,990.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s 100% tablet, 100% notebook and 100% Android,\u201d says Mateo.<\/p>\n

All-in-One Desktop<\/strong><\/p>\n

For only Php19,990, the HP Slate 21 All-in-One offers a 21.5-inch full high-definition (HD) diagonal reclining IPS touchscreen with wide viewing angles for vivid graphics and better shared viewing.<\/p>\n

Also running on the Android 4.2 Jellybean, the HP Slate 21 All-in-One, comes with a keyboard and mouse. Under the hood is a 1.9GHz quad-core Tegra 4 processor and 1GB RAM, along with 8GB internal storage and microSD support for expanded storage.<\/p>\n

The HP Slate 21 All-in-One offers a 21.5-inch full high-definition (HD) diagonal reclining IPS touchscreen<\/p><\/div>\n

The Slate 21 comes pre-installed with the Splashtop 2 HD software that enables you to control Windows PCs remotely. It also comes with three USB ports, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth, but no HDMI output.<\/p>\n

\u201cCustomers are looking for technology that simplifies their lives while keeping them connected to the entertainment they enjoy and the content they need,\u201d said Mateo.\u00a0 \u201cThe HP Slate 21 All-in-One allows families to easily access content through the cloud and enjoy it together on a large, interactive screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Slate 21 is positioned as a family entertainment center, the product can also be used in the business setting. Mateo said that restaurants, hotels and hospitals are some of the establishments which can benefit from the features the Slate 21 offers.<\/p>\n
