Specifically, SimpliVity assimilated all IT elements below the hypervisor (eight to 12 disparate functions) into a simple 2U building block of x86 sharable resources to deliver IT simplicity, operational efficiency, and three times of savings on total cost of ownership.<\/p>\n

Convergence of these solutions may bring simplicity to increasingly complex data centers. But hyperconvergence \u201cenables cloud-like economics and scale without compromising the performance, reliability, and availability enterprises require in their data center\u201d.<\/p>\n

For Morris, hyperconvergence is also ideal for a country like the Philippines because of two reasons.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, the country is infamous for its slow Internet speeds that force customers to have expensive and fixed broadband pricing.<\/p>\n

\u201cSimpliVity\u2019s hyperconverged infrastructure allows companies to maximize their bandwidth. Data is deduplicated, compressed, and optimized before it is stored or moved over the network, reducing the bandwidth required to support core backup and disaster recovery functions as well as remote office\/branch office data synchronization,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the country has among the highest cost of electricity supplies.<\/p>\n

To this end, \u201cby simplifying the infrastructure, major reductions in power are possible. The overall reduction translates into a huge total cost of ownership savings of three times for the small and medium enterprise, as well as the large enterprise markets.\u201d<\/p>\n

SimpliVity\u2019s hyperconverged platform is available from $20,000 (or Philippine equivalent) per unit, though various configurations depending on customers\u2019 needs could reach to $200,000(or Philippine equivalent).<\/p>\n
