After a long-standing partnership in the networking communications space, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) Group and NTT Communications (NTT Com) recently expanded its alliance into ICT to bring NTT Com’s Enterprise Cloud solutions to the Philippines.

Enterprise Cloud is an enterprise-grade infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solution provided by NTT Com for PLDT’s enterprise customers.

The platform is managed via purpose-built software, and on multiple servers located in multiple international locations such as Japan, US, UK, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

PLDT’s new IaaS service grants enterprise customers with the ability to virtually access their individualized customer portal to modify configurations on their virtual data centers. This will allow Philippine enterprise customers to consider new solutions for global operations especially in countries where NTT Com’s cloud is present, and at the same time provide new options for business continuity using resources outside the Philippines.

Both PLDT and NTT Com plan to make the most of their alliance in future service development and offerings.
